Proposed 20mph Speed Limit

Midlothian Council has reviewed speed limits on roads throughout Midlothian and has adopted a strategy to reduce traffic speed limits in the areas where people live and work.  Implementation is proceeding as funds and staff resources allow, with the first stage having been the introduction of new 20 mph limits in several rural settlements.  The Council now proposes to make an Order to apply 20 mph speed limits to the roads within urban areas in Midlothian which are not already subject to a 20 mph limit.
